We represent clients in real estate loan workouts and bankruptcy actions, as well as in acquiring real estate in foreclosure from lenders and distressed loans. Often, such transactions involve multi-party negotiations where discretion and delicacy in dealing with the participants are paramount, and we work to achieve the desired results for our client in a professional and efficient manner. We have negotiated and drafted pre-negotiation letters, forbearance agreements, loan modifications and workout agreements to further the objectives and goals of our clients. We also work on loan sales and enforcement actions under loans in distressed situations. We work closely with our tax and bankruptcy attorneys to deal with issues arising during all phases of such transactions, including the pre-acquisition phase, ownership phase and disposition phase.
