NEW YORK (May 23, 2018) – In a noteworthy engagement mixing the worlds of entertainment, cryptocurrency and destination travel, law firm Kleinberg Kaplan is representing the developers of Kind Heaven, an ambitious, Southeast Asian-themed- immersive entertainment attraction, whose first location is scheduled to open in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip in 2019.

Kleinberg Kaplan serves as outside general counsel to Immersive Artistry, the business entity behind the Kind Heaven Project. Immersive Artistry is led by CEO Cary Granat, formerly CEO of Walden Media, producers of the Chronicles of Narnia film series and President Ed Jones is an Academy® Award-winning visual effects pioneer (Star Wars’ The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Indiana Jones and E.T.). Immersive Artistry’s principal partner in Kind Heaven is renowned singer-songwriter Perry Farrell, front man for the alternative rock group Jane’s Addiction, who went on to be the visionary behind the hugely successful music festival Lollapalooza.

Kind Heaven will combine elements of pan-Asian food markets with world-class musical acts as well as a state-of-the-art RF technology, holographic mixed reality and advanced wearable tech conceived to take visitors to a higher plane of fun and even personal enlightenment – i.e., Kind Heaven. Slated to open initially on the LINQ Promenade in Las Vegas next year, Kind Heaven expects to roll out properties in major markets worldwide.

In working with Immersive and Kind Heaven, Kleinberg Kaplan is advising on all legal aspects of their new venture, including business formation and structure, capital raising, employment and compensation matters, as well as strategic partnerships and licensing and related intellectual property management. Kleinberg Kaplan is also advising on the initial coin offering of Kind Heaven’s cryptographic token, Yala Coin.

The Kleinberg Kaplan team is led by corporate partner Jonathan Ain, head of the firm’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group. Mr. Ain and the Kleinberg Kaplan team are also working with Immersive Artistry on additional matters including advising on sports themed, experiential entertainment programming that the company is creating throughout the Pro Football Hall Of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio.

“We are thrilled to be working closely with Immersive Artistry, Perry Farrell and the Kind Heaven team in helping create what promises to be one of the most innovative and exciting entertainment theme attractions ever imagined,” Mr. Ain said. “ We look forward to continuing to work with Kind Heaven as it realizes on the extraordinary vision of Mr. Farrell and Immersive Artistry.”

Other attorneys supporting Immersive and the Kind Heaven project include Adam VanWagner, Arinze Ike, Jim McCann and Neil Dubnoff.

Kleinberg Kaplan co-hosted a high-wattage launch party in support of Kind Heaven at the Park Hyatt Hotel’s Onyx Ballroom on May 15. The event featured floor-to-ceiling aerialist dancers, umbrella jugglers and sophisticated swordplay, as well as original songs by Mr. Farrell, who introduced new musical acts he’s recently discovered, including a guitarist who had previously been performing in New York’s subway stations.

In announcing its plans for the Yala Coin offering on May 16, Kind Heaven’s Mr. Farrell explained, “Lollapalooza forever changed the way fans experience live entertainment. And now, Kind Heaven is shaping what that type of experience looks in the 21st century. It only makes sense that this unique, immersive, 21st century experience and community will be supported by the kind of cashless, secure and decentralized economy that these same fans have come to expect and demand,” he added.
