Octavio Lanzi focuses his practice on the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of investment vehicles. He advises asset managers, family offices and financial institutions in connection with on and off-shore funds and investments in a wide range of asset classes, including private equity, real estate, distressed assets, venture capital and digital assets.

Octavio also provides guidance on regulatory and compliance issues as well as administrative proceedings. He is a Certified Financial Planner.

Experience

  • Assisted the Brazilian Association for the Financial and Capital Markets (ANBIMA) in the review of and providing comments on the CVM Public Hearing for the new investment funds’ rule.
  • Advised in the structuring of one of the first private equity funds listed on the Brazilian stock exchange to invest in power transmission assets.
  • Advised in the structuring of the first Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) referred in Brazilian government bonds (IMAB11). The offering was a pioneering partnership between one of the largest Brazilian financial institutions, the Brazilian Federal Government and the World Bank.
