As Kleinberg Kaplan’s Chief Operating Officer, Jason Mulgrew leads and oversees the firm’s strategic and operational initiatives in order to deliver the highest level of service to clients and foster a culture of excellence within the firm. He works closely with firm leadership to develop and implement plans that drive revenue, enhance innovation, and optimize efficiency, as well as ensure that Kleinberg Kaplan continues to be a firm at which employees can have rewarding careers, working with sophisticated clients.

A consensus-builder, Jason has significant experience delivering results. He builds, trains and leads high-performing cross-functional teams; develops process improvements to increase staff and lawyer productivity; identifies areas for business growth and creates actionable, measurable plans to achieve that growth; and works with the firm’s legal and administrative leaders to keep Kleinberg Kaplan on the cutting-edge of law firm operations and strategy.
Jason’s forwarding-thinking, client-first approach has been honed over the course of his nearly 25-year career in law firm business development, marketing, and strategy. Before becoming Kleinberg Kaplan’s COO, Jason was the firm’s Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer. In that position, he established the firm’s business development strategies and marketing direction, and played a leading role in firmwide strategic planning.
Prior to joining the firm, Jason held wide-ranging leadership positions and led large global teams in the business development and marketing groups at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
