About
Andy handles a wide range of real estate transactions and has extensive experience in formation and structuring of real estate investment funds, joint ventures and other vehicles for investment in real estate. He regularly advises clients on the acquisition, financing and disposition of large portfolios of real estate, and on all areas of commercial real estate generally, including developments, construction, leasing and restructuring. Often serving as outside general counsel for clients, Andy frequently assists on issues such as regulatory requirements, structuring of transactions and strategic guidance on management company agreements.
Andy represents private companies and high-net-worth investors, financial services firms and investment funds. His experience covers all real estate asset classes, with a special emphasis in medical office buildings, shopping center/retail and mixed use assets.
Andy shares the same entrepreneurial mindset of many of his clients; his more than 15 years of experience leading Kleinberg Kaplan – in addition to his more than 30 years of practice – gives him a unique perspective into the challenges that clients face growing and operating a business venture, as well as the risks associated with that venture.
Andy has been named a New York Metro Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers since 2011.
