Robert Berman focuses his practice on representing domestic and offshore hedge funds, investment funds and other financial institutions in connection with the purchase and sale of par and distressed bank debt, both domestic and foreign, as well as the purchase and sale of financial and trade claims and other types of debt and equity instruments. He also represents and advises clients in connection with claims that they hold against companies that have filed or are about to file for bankruptcy. Bob’s practice also includes representing clients in connection with secured and unsecured loan transactions, credit default swaps, credit agreements, derivatives, collateralized debt obligations and a variety of other corporate and bankruptcy-related issues.
